Effective October 25, 2026 · NovaTek Business Solutions (“we”, “us”)
This policy explains what the NovaTek Group Messenger app and its server collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: your contacts stay on your phone, we do not sell data, and we do not show ads or track you across apps.
1. Information that stays on your phone
The people you add or import (names, phone numbers, emails, companies, groups, languages, amounts, birthdays, notes), your templates, reminders and settings are stored only on your device. We never receive your contact list. When you import from your phone book, the app reads your contacts only at that moment and only to show you the list to choose from; it never changes your phone's contacts.
2. Information we receive
- Account: if you sign in, we receive your email address, whether it is verified, a user ID, and which sign-in method you used (Apple, Google or email). Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
- Usage counts: how many photo scans, AI writing helps and automatic text credits you have used each month, so plan limits can work.
- Photo scans: when you scan a photo or business card, the image is sent to our server and on to Anthropic (the maker of Claude) to read the names, numbers and emails in it. The results are sent back to your phone. We do not keep the image.
- AI writing help: when you tap “AI: help me write”, the message draft (or the few words you typed), the language, the occasion title and your sign-off name are sent to our server and on to Anthropic to write, improve, change the tone of, or translate the message. Tags such as {{first_name}} are sent as tags, never your contacts’ details. The result comes back to your phone; we do not keep the text, only a count of uses.
- Automatic texts: when you choose Auto-text, the recipient's phone number and the message are sent to our server and to Twilio, which delivers the text. We keep a one-way hash of the number, the number of message parts, and the delivery ID — not the message text — so we can count usage and honour opt-outs.
- Opt-outs: if someone replies STOP to a text from our number, we keep that phone number on a do-not-text list so no user can text it again from our number.
- Free-trial protection: the free photo scans and AI writing helps are given once per person. To stop them being claimed again with a new account, another email alias or by reinstalling the app, we keep a one-way scrambled code (hash) of your email address and of an app ID for your phone, together with only the number of free scans and writing helps used. This code cannot be turned back into your email or phone ID, and it is kept even after you delete your account.
- Purchases: subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. We receive your plan and its renewal date. We never see your card or bank details.
- Technical logs: our host records basic request data (such as IP address and time) for security and abuse prevention; we use IP addresses to limit abuse of free scans and free writing help.
3. How we use it
Only to provide the app's features, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, comply with law, and answer support requests. We do not sell or rent personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models.
4. Service providers
Google Firebase (sign-in), Anthropic (reading photos and AI writing help), Twilio (delivering texts), RevenueCat, Apple and Google (subscriptions), and IONOS (server hosting). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
5. Messages you send
You are responsible for having permission to message the people you contact. Messages sent with the Text or Email buttons go from your own phone's Messages or Mail app; we never see them.
6. Keeping and deleting
Account and usage records are kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Account › Delete my account; this removes your account, usage and send records from our server. Opt-out records are kept because they protect the people who asked not to be texted. The free-trial protection code described above is also kept. You can remove all on-phone data with Account › Delete all app data, or by deleting the app.
Delete your NovaTek Group Messenger account without the app: email info@novatekbusinesssolutions.com from the email address you signed in with, with the subject “Delete my NovaTek Group Messenger account”. We delete your account, usage and send records within 30 days and confirm by email. Payment records kept by Apple or Google are handled by them; cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play settings.
7. Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Secret keys are kept on the server only, never in the app. Every request is checked against your signed-in identity.
8. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information. Email us and we will help.
10. Changes and contact
We will post changes here and update the date above. Questions: info@novatekbusinesssolutions.com · NovaTek Business Solutions, Florida, USA.
